This is an independent informational guide, not affiliated with Tim Hortons. Prices are typical ranges and vary by location and province. Tax is excluded and delivery app prices differ. Check the official Tim Hortons menu or app before ordering.
Prices last checked: October 2026. Prices below are typical Canadian ranges in Canadian dollars, before tax.
Tim Hortons built its name on hot coffee, and the Original Blend is still the most ordered drink in the country. This page lists every hot coffee and hot drink on the Canadian menu with the price for each size, so you can see exactly what a Small, Medium, Large and Extra Large costs before you reach the counter. If you are looking for the cold side of the menu, head to Cold Coffee and Iced Drinks instead.
Two things are worth knowing before the tables. First, a Double Double costs exactly the same as a plain brewed coffee, because cream and sugar are free. Second, Dark Roast and Decaf are priced on the same ladder as the Original Blend everywhere we checked, so switching blends never changes the price.
Tim Hortons cup sizes
Every price on this page uses the current size names with the volume printed beside them, because a Medium at Tim Hortons is 14 ounces, not the 12 or 16 ounces used elsewhere. The names date from January 2012, when Tim Hortons added the 24 ounce Extra Large and shifted every size name down a step: the old small became the Extra Small, the old medium became the Small, and so on. The volumes never changed, only the labels.
| Size | Volume (fl oz) | Volume (mL) | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Extra Small | 8 fl oz | 237 mL | Not carried at every restaurant |
| Small | 10 fl oz | 296 mL | |
| Medium | 14 fl oz | 414 mL | |
| Large | 20 fl oz | 591 mL | |
| Extra Large | 24 fl oz | 710 mL |
Brewed coffee prices
| Drink | Small 10 oz | Medium 14 oz | Large 20 oz | Extra Large 24 oz | Calories S/M/L/XL |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Original Blend | $1.59–$1.65 | $1.83–$2.09 | $2.07–$2.29 | $2.35–$2.69 | 3 / 4 / 5 / 5 |
| Dark Roast | $1.59–$1.65 | $1.83–$2.09 | $2.07–$2.29 | $2.35–$2.69 | 3 / 4 / 5 / 5 |
| Decaf | $1.59–$1.65 | $1.83–$2.09 | $2.07–$2.29 | $2.35–$2.69 | 3 / 4 / 5 / 5 |
| Brown Sugar Cream Coffee | $2.49 | $2.99 | $3.39 | $3.69 | 130 / 210 / 260 / 310 |
The brewed ladder is the anchor of the whole menu. A small coffee still starts under two dollars at most locations, and the step between sizes is roughly 25 to 40 cents. For a group or an office run, the Take Twelve box of twelve cups runs about $19.99. The Brown Sugar Cream Coffee sits above the standard ladder because it is a sweetened, cream-based recipe rather than a straight brew.
Espresso drink prices
Espresso drinks are sold in Small, Medium and Large only. There is no Extra Large latte, which catches people out when they order by habit from the brewed menu.
| Drink | Small 10 oz | Medium 14 oz | Large 20 oz | Calories S/M/L |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Latte | $2.99–$3.19 | $3.49–$3.69 | $3.99–$4.19 | 90 / 140 / 190 |
| Cappuccino | $2.99–$3.19 | $3.49–$3.69 | $3.99–$4.19 | 80 / 120 / 170 |
| Vanilla Latte | $3.39–$3.69 | $3.89–$4.19 | $4.39–$4.69 | 150 / 230 / 310 |
| Mocha Latte | $3.39–$3.69 | $3.89–$4.19 | $4.39–$4.69 | 140 / 220 / 300 |
| Caramel Latte | $3.39–$3.69 | $3.89–$4.19 | $4.39–$4.69 | 150 / 220 / 300 |
| Americano | $2.29–$2.49 | $2.79–$2.99 | $3.29–$3.49 | 3 / 5 / 5 |
A shot of espresso on its own runs about $1.49 to $1.59 for a single and $1.99 to $2.19 for a double, depending on location. Flavoured lattes carry a premium of roughly 40 to 50 cents over a plain latte at the same size.
French Vanilla and hot chocolate prices
| Drink | Small 10 oz | Medium 14 oz | Large 20 oz | Extra Large 24 oz | Calories S/M/L/XL |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| French Vanilla | $2.49–$2.69 | $2.79–$2.99 | $2.99–$3.29 | $3.29–$3.59 | 260 / 330 / 430 / 570 |
| Hot Chocolate | $1.99–$2.39 | $2.29–$2.69 | $2.49–$2.99 | $2.79–$3.19 | 220 / 280 / 380 / 500 |
| White Hot Chocolate | $1.99–$2.39 | $2.29–$2.69 | $2.49–$2.99 | $2.79–$3.19 | 250 / 330 / 430 / 570 |
French Vanilla is a cappuccino-style powder drink, not a flavoured coffee, which is why its calories run far higher than a brewed coffee of the same size. An Extra Large French Vanilla at 570 calories has more in common with a dessert than with a coffee, something worth knowing before it becomes a twice-a-day habit. Calorie detail for the full menu is on the Nutrition and Allergens page.
Tea prices
| Drink | Small 10 oz | Medium 14 oz | Large 20 oz | Extra Large 24 oz | Calories S/M/L/XL |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Steeped Tea | $1.79–$1.89 | $1.99 | $2.29–$2.49 | $2.59–$2.69 | 0 |
| Specialty Teas | $1.79–$1.89 | $1.99 | $2.29–$2.49 | $2.59–$2.69 | 0 |
| London Fog | $3.29 | $3.79 | $4.29 | Not sold | 110 / 160 / 240 |
The steeped tea is an orange pekoe blend brewed in store. Specialty teas are the bagged range, including Earl Grey, green tea, chai and mint. The London Fog, an Earl Grey latte with vanilla, is priced with the espresso drinks rather than the teas.
What is a Double Double, exactly?
A Double Double is a brewed coffee with two creams and two sugars, and it is priced identically to a black coffee at every size. The cream and sugar change the calories, not the cost. On a Small, the official nutrition figures put a black coffee at about 3 calories, a regular (one cream, one sugar) at about 38, a Double Double at about 73 and a Triple Triple at about 108. Order it the Canadian way: size first, then the build, as in "medium Double Double".
A note on caffeine
Tim Hortons does not publish caffeine content for its coffee. There is no caffeine column in its Canadian nutrition guide, so any exact milligram figure you see on other sites is a third-party estimate, not an official number. We do not print caffeine figures we cannot verify. If caffeine matters to you, the practical guide is size: an Extra Large holds roughly two and a half times the coffee of a Small.
Ordering terms worth knowing
Canadian coffee ordering has its own shorthand, and it is all about the cream and sugar. Black means nothing added. A regular means one cream and one sugar. A Double Double means two of each, and a Triple Triple means three of each. Milk can be swapped for cream, and sweetener for sugar, without changing the price. If you want it less sweet but still creamy, order by numbers, as in "two cream, one sugar", and the price stays the same as a plain coffee of that size.
Why your store’s price may differ
The ranges on this page cover the large majority of Canadian locations, because they were built from several independent price listings rather than one store. Expect to land higher than the range, or outside it entirely, at captive locations such as airports, hospitals, highway service centres and stadiums, where rent and operating costs push menu prices up. Prices also change over time, which is why every table on this page carries the date it was last checked.
Frequently asked questions
How much is a medium Tim Hortons coffee in Canada?
A Medium (14 oz) Original Blend typically costs $1.83 to $2.09 before tax, depending on the location and province. Dark Roast and Decaf are the same price.
Does a Double Double cost more than a regular coffee?
No. Cream and sugar are free at Tim Hortons, so a Double Double, a Triple Triple and a black coffee all cost the same at the same size. Only the calories change.
What sizes does Tim Hortons sell?
Most hot drinks come in Small (10 oz), Medium (14 oz), Large (20 oz) and Extra Large (24 oz). An 8 oz Extra Small exists for brewed coffee at some restaurants. Espresso drinks stop at Large.
How much caffeine is in a Tim Hortons coffee?
Tim Hortons does not publish caffeine figures, so there is no official number to give. Third-party estimates exist but are not verified by the company, and we label them as estimates wherever they appear on this site.
Is Decaf the same price as regular coffee?
Yes. At every location and in every listing we checked, Decaf sits on the same price ladder as the Original Blend and Dark Roast.
