Timbits are the donut holes Tim Hortons has sold since the 1970s, and they are bought by the box far more often than one at a time. This page lists the flavours, the price of a single Timbit, and the price of every box size sold in Canada, with the per-piece maths done for you. If you want the full-size version, the Donuts page has the complete donut list.
Timbits flavours and single prices
A standard Timbit costs about 35 cents on its own and a filled Timbit about 45 cents, though singles pricing varies a little by store and some locations only sell Timbits by the box. Calories are per Timbit, from the official nutrition guide figures.
| Flavour | Single price | Calories each |
|---|---|---|
| Honey Dip | $0.35 | 50 |
| Old Fashioned Plain | $0.35 | 60 |
| Birthday Cake | $0.35 | 80 |
| Chocolate Glazed | $0.35 | 80 |
| Old Fashioned Glazed | $0.35 | 80 |
| Sour Cream Glazed | $0.35 | 90 |
| Blueberry Cheesecake Filled | $0.45 | 50 |
| Crème Brûlée Filled | $0.45 | 50 |
| Powdered Strawberry Filled | $0.45 | 50 |
The official nutrition guide lists more flavours than most stores stock at once, including Strawberry, Venetian Cream, Snow Ball and Toasted Coconut, at 50 to 90 calories each. Which flavours a given restaurant has on the day depends on what it baked, and assorted boxes are filled from whatever is in the case.
Timbits box prices
| Pack | Price | Per Timbit | Calories (whole pack, assorted) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Single Timbit | $0.35 | $0.45 filled | 50–90 |
| 10 assorted | $2.99–$3.19 | About $0.30–$0.32 each | About 900 |
| 20 assorted | $4.99–$5.19 | About $0.25–$0.26 each | About 1,800 |
| 50 assorted | $9.99 | About $0.20 each | About 4,500 |
| Summer Bucket, 30 (seasonal) | $10.99 | About $0.37 each | Varies |
The maths is the story here. A 50 pack at $9.99 works out to 20 cents a Timbit, against 35 cents for a single. The 20 pack is the standard family size and the 10 pack is the coffee-run size. Pack calories assume an assorted mix across the 50 to 90 calorie range per piece.
The pack size myth: there is no 40 pack
Plenty of price lists online still show Timbits in packs of 6, 10, 20 and 40. That sizing is out of date. Every current Canadian source we checked agrees on the same three standard boxes: 10, 20 and 50. The only 30 count product is the seasonal Summer Timbits Bucket at about $10.99, which appears for a limited run rather than as a standing box size. If a site shows you a 40 pack price, it is working from an old menu. Catering listings that price the 50 pack at $12.99 are likewise stale: three separate sources put the standard 50 pack at $9.99.
How to get the flavours you want
An assorted box is packed from the case, so the mix is the store’s choice unless you speak up. Most locations will build a box around the flavours you name if you ask when ordering, within what they have baked that day. Filled Timbits are the first to run out at many stores, so a box ordered late in the day skews toward the glazed and old fashioned flavours. For children’s parties the 50 pack is the standard order, and it is also the box priced for the Kids Menu crowd at family gatherings.
Buying Timbits for a group
For offices, classrooms and team snacks, work on a simple rule of thumb: about four to six Timbits per person when they are a side to coffee, and closer to eight to ten per person when they are the main snack. That makes a 50 pack right for a group of roughly eight to twelve people, with a 20 pack covering a family dessert or a small meeting. Two 50 packs give you a better mix of flavours than one, because each box is packed from the case at a different moment. Order ahead through the app for early morning pickups, when the first bake is spoken for quickly.
Seasonal flavours and limited runs
Alongside the regular flavours, limited-run Timbits appear through the year, usually tied to a season or a promotion, and the seasonal 30 count bucket is part of that pattern. Limited flavours are sold while supplies last and do not join the standard price structure in the same way, which is why this page lists them separately when they appear. When a seasonal flavour is live, it is also listed on the Seasonal and Limited-Time Items page with its dates.
The three Timbit types
Timbits follow the same families as the full-size donuts. The yeast-raised ones, including Honey Dip and Chocolate Glazed, are light and soft, and sit in the middle of the calorie range at 50 to 80 each. The cake-style ones, the Old Fashioned and Sour Cream lines, are denser and a little richer, up to 90 calories for Sour Cream Glazed. The filled ones, Blueberry Cheesecake, Crème Brûlée and Powdered Strawberry, carry their filling at only about 50 calories each, the lightest on the board, but cost more per piece at about 45 cents. In an assorted box you get the mix the baker made, so a box heavy on cake-style Timbits will run slightly higher in calories than the averages in the table above.
