The protein line is Tim Hortons’ answer to the gym run: a set of drinks and one bagel built on a high-protein dairy base. The important detail is what the protein actually is. It is not a powder stirred into your cup. The launch release describes a lactose-free, high-protein dairy beverage, and the published ingredient list backs that up: skim milk, water, milk protein concentrate and cream, with lactase so it stays lactose-free. Some blogs describe whey powder being added; the ingredient list says otherwise, and this page goes with the list. The lattes launched nationally on August 28, 2025, the Protein Quenchers followed on April 2, 2026, and a Protein Bagel had joined the breakfast case by the July 2026 nutrition guide.

The headline numbers

Tim Hortons’ own claims are per medium: 20 grams of protein in the hot Protein Latte, 17 grams in the iced, and 14 grams in a Protein Quencher. The size-by-size figures below come from the July 2026 nutrition guide as reproduced by a menu listing, with prices from one Toronto store’s online menu, the only store-level ladder published for the line. Where listings disagree with the guide, this page uses the guide and says so.

DrinkSmall 10 ozMedium 14 ozLarge 20 ozCalories S/M/LProtein S/M/L (g)
Hot Protein Latte$4.19$4.69$5.19110 / 170 / 23013 / 20 / 27
Original Protein Iced Latte$4.19$4.69$5.19160 / 230 / 31012 / 17 / 23

A sugar-free vanilla version of both the hot and the iced latte is also on the menu. At the store whose prices are printed here, the protein lattes cost exactly $1.00 more than the regular Latte at every size, and the trade is a good one on paper: a medium Protein Latte runs 170 calories and 9 grams of sugar against the regular latte’s 140 calories and 13 grams of sugar, with roughly double the protein. Thirty extra calories for about ten more grams of protein and less sugar is the honest summary of the line.

The flavoured iced versions

DrinkCalories S/M/LProtein S/M/L (g)Sugar, medium
Protein Iced Latte with Sugar-Free Vanilla Syrup120 / 160 / 22012 / 17 / 238 g
Brown Sugar Protein Iced Latte160 / 220 / 30012 / 17 / 2427 g
Protein Iced Chai Latte190 / 260 / 34014 / 18 / 2332 g
Chocolate Pistachio Protein Iced Latte160 / 230 / 31012 / 17 / 2327 g

The flavoured builds rotate in a way the two originals do not: only the originals and the sugar-free vanilla sit in the nutrition guide, while the brown sugar, chai and chocolate pistachio versions come and go with flavour line-ups. The sugar-free vanilla is the standout of the table, the lowest sugar of any protein drink here at 8 grams in a medium. One warning from the checking: a listing elsewhere credits the chocolate pistachio with 37 grams of protein in a medium. The guide figures say 17. We print the guide.

Protein Quenchers

The Quenchers are the cold, fruity arm of the line: five flavours, Blackberry Yuzu, Orange Tangerine, Peach, Strawberry Watermelon and Raspberry Mojito, built on the same high-protein dairy base. The official figure is 14 grams of protein per medium, and no source publishes protein grams for the small or large, so this page does not estimate them. Two listings price the drinks at $3.99 flat, and one prices a size ladder of $3.49, $3.99 and $4.49.

FlavourCalories (medium, per listings)
Blackberry Yuzu230
Orange Tangerine240
Peach190
Strawberry Watermelon170
Raspberry Mojito120

The calories are listing figures for a medium, and three of the five are confirmed by a second listing. The regular Quenchers line, without the protein base, is priced on the Cold Coffee and Iced Drinks page.

The Protein Bagel and the Protein Bagel BELT

The bagel itself is a guide entry with no published price so far: 20 grams of protein and 280 calories, against 11 grams of protein in a plain bagel. The BELT built on it is where the line earns its keep. The guide figures, cited by two listings, put the Protein Bagel BELT at 480 calories and 33 grams of protein; the regular Bagel BELT on the Breakfast page runs 490 calories and about 22 grams of protein. Eleven more grams of protein for the same calories, near enough. Prices are the messy part: listings spread from $5.49 to $6.69 for the sandwich, and one listing’s calorie figure of 397 conflicts with the guide’s 480, so this page prints the price spread and the guide calories and leaves it there.

The protein add-on

One more route from the launch release: the high-protein dairy can be added to hot and iced coffees, teas, cold brews and Iced Capps, not just the named drinks. That makes a protein cold brew a customization rather than a menu item, and no listing publishes a price or nutrition figures for the add-on, so treat any exact number you see for it as invented.
