Matcha is the newest permanent line on the Tim Hortons menu. After a run at the Urban Format restaurants in Toronto and Montreal, the matcha drinks launched nationally on July 22, 2026: matcha powder whisked with milk, hot or iced, in five builds. Tim Hortons describes the matcha itself as 100 percent pure, from shade-grown green tea leaves ground twice into a fine powder. A strawberry pair followed on September 23, 2026. This page prices the whole line and keeps the sweetened and unsweetened builds straight, because that is where the menu confuses people.

Two menu listings agree on these prices and calories to the cent and the calorie, which is why the table prints single figures instead of ranges. The line runs in the three cold sizes, small, medium and large; no listing prices any matcha drink in extra large, whatever you may read elsewhere. The vanilla builds carry the usual flavour premium, and the cold foam build sits at the top of the ladder in both price and calories.

The strawberry drinks arrived on September 23, 2026, two months after the core line. Only one store’s online menu publishes prices for them so far, so read the table as that store’s figures rather than a settled national ladder. The iced version is topped with a pink strawberry cold foam. Neither launch release calls the pair limited-time, but nothing confirms them as permanent either; the Seasonal page is where we track lines like this.

The labels hide a simple pattern. The Original Iced is the sweetened iced build, sweetened with cane sugar syrup on the listings, and the Unsweetened Iced is its twin with no added sweetener, which is why it is the lightest matcha on the menu. The plain hot latte is the interesting one: its medium sugar, 13 grams, is exactly the same as a regular Latte of the same size, which points to the sugar coming from the milk rather than from added syrup. And the cold foam is not a light touch: a medium Vanilla Iced with Cold Foam carries 13 grams of fat against 5 grams in the medium Original Iced.
Caffeine
Tim Hortons publishes no caffeine figures for matcha, as it does not for any drink. The one estimate in print, from a matcha guide, puts the drinks at roughly 30 to 40 milligrams in a small, 50 to 60 in a medium and 70 to 75 in a large, and the listings describe matcha as sitting between steeped tea and brewed coffee.
