Checked: October 2026. The short answer: breakfast starts the moment your store opens, and at participating restaurants the hot breakfast menu runs all day. There is no national breakfast timetable and no published national cutoff. This page explains where the old noon cutoff went, why some websites still quote it, and how to settle the question for your own store.
When breakfast starts
Breakfast service begins at opening. There is no separate breakfast start time anywhere in the chain: a store that opens at 5:00 AM is serving breakfast sandwiches at 5:00 AM, and a mall store that opens at 9:30 serves them from 9:30. Most standalone stores open at 5:00 or 6:00 AM, which is where the familiar early times come from, and 24-hour locations serve through the night. Breakfast Anytime: the official change
Until 2018, breakfast at Tim Hortons really did end at noon. On July 25, 2018 the company launched Breakfast Anytime nationwide, moving the Classic Hot Breakfast Sandwich, Golden Hash Browns and more to all-day availability, in the words of the launch, whether it is 6 AM or 6 PM. Two words in the official wording still matter today: participating restaurants. The program was never framed as a guarantee at every store, and it still is not. What changed in 2018 is that all-day became the norm rather than the exception.
Why some sites still say breakfast ends at noon
Because it used to, and old copy never dies. Precise timetables that claim breakfast runs, say, 5:00 AM to 12:00 PM on weekdays and 6:00 AM to noon on weekends have no official basis; they are the pre-2018 rule dressed up as current fact. Even the chain’s own store pages do not speak with one voice: some Tim Hortons location pages currently carry a line about freshly cracked eggs being served until 4:00 PM, which matches neither the old noon rule nor all day. That is the honest state of the evidence, and it is why the only reliable answer for a specific store is that store’s live menu.

How to settle it for your store
Open the Tim Hortons app, set your store, and look at its live menu. If a breakfast sandwich is orderable at 3:00 PM, your store is serving it at 3:00 PM, whatever any timetable says.
